I just spent ~2 hrs removing all traces of Paragon's ExtFS driver. It cause my Mac to crash completely (black screen, fatal error reboot msg), so I wanted to scrub all traces of this nasty software.... All of the above is pretty good, but here are some other notes:
Paragon NTFS for Mac 15.5.53 Full read-write access granted! Microsoft NTFS is one of the primary file systems of Windows. If you work on a Mac computer and need to read or write files from HDD, SSD or a flash drive formatted under Windows, you need Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Paragon Software.
There is also a folder in /Library/Application Support
and a .plist
in ~/Library/Preferences
. It also attaches itself to LaunchServices, which causes constant errors in /var/log/system.log
as it can't find the binaries anymore. In my case, the binaries were apparently deleted by the Paragon installer automatically and that possibly caused a kernel panic.

You may also have to rebuild LaunchServices to get rid of it entirely. See https://www.cnet.com/news/how-to-clear-custom-application-associations-in-os-x/ (warning - there is sometimes an annoying auto-play video on that page, but it's the best explanation I've found... ) for a few ways of doing it - I had to rebuild and also delete the LaunchServices.plist. Also, don't forget to empty your trash if you drag/drop stuff to it.
