The Power Mac G4 series of computers utilized a PowerPC G4 processor and was manufactured by Apple from 1999 to 2004.
The Power Mac G4 MDD (Mirrored Drive Doors) was the 3rd Major Revision of the Power Mac G4. It Included an 867MHz, 1GHz, or 1.25GHz PowerPC G4 CPU in single or dual configurations, and a Dual 1.42GHz PowerPC G4 CPU. This computer was the fastest, most powerful G4-Based Macintosh, before Mid-2004 when Apple introduced the Power Mac G5. It used an Xserve-Derived motherboard, supported up to 2GB of PC2700 333MHz DDR RAM, and had a 167MHz system bus on the mid range and high end models while the low end had a 133mhz system bus. It supported Airport or Airport Extreme (on the FW800 models) Wireless networking, and up to 4 Hard Drives, as well as up to 2 Optical Drives, the only Macintosh to do this except for the Mac Pro.

Resetting the Logic Board
Resetting the logic board can resolve many system problems. Whenever you have a
unit that fails to power up, you should follow this procedure
before replacing any modules.
1 Unplug the computer.
2 Press the Power On button on the front of the unit.
3 Open the side access panel.
4 Remove the battery from the logic board.
5 Wait at least 10 minutes before replacing the battery.
6 Make sure the battery is installed in the correct +/-
direction.
7 Reassemble the computer and test the unit.
Note:
This procedure resets the computer’s PRAM. Be sure to
check the computer’s time/date and other system parameter settings
